Warts are non–inflammatory formations of the skin, having a spherical shape of a small diameter.
Neoplasms are of a benign nature and do not harm the general condition of the body.
reasons
The main reason for the formation of warts is human infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) or contact with an already infected person. The human papillomavirus multiplies in the upper layers of the skin, forming globular formations protruding above the skin level. The incubation period of HPV is on average several months. Sometimes skin injuries – scratches, cuts, etc. can contribute to the formation of warts. So, for example, sports warts are formed – in people who regularly swim in the pool. Also, the development and spread of warts throughout the body contributes to a decrease in immunity and a constant stay in a stressful situation.
TYPES OF WARTS
The wart is ordinary. These are small-sized nodes in the shape of a ball. They usually have an uneven, rough surface. Most often occur on the hands. They occur in both children and adults.
Plantar Wart. Yellowish small formations of rounded shape and practically do not protrude above the skin level. They are found in young people.
The condyloma is pointed. Sexually transmitted. They are treated with drugs for the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.
The wart is senile. These are physiological neoplasms that do not require treatment. There are such warts on the surface of the skin, which is covered with clothing most of the time, but also occur in open areas of the body.
treatment
Laser removal of warts is currently the most effective way to get rid of non-aesthetic skin defects. Before the procedure, a mandatory consultation with a doctor is required – some warts, especially those that have begun to change and bleed or something else, cannot be removed until the cause of the change in the structure of the neoplasms is clarified. Skin care after the procedure is practically not needed, and from the wart there is only a barely noticeable depression at the site of the former neoplasm.
Electrocoagulation. Warts can also be removed by the action of high-frequency current. This method allows not only to get rid of the wart, but also to disinfect the skin from the human papillomavirus. The disadvantage of the procedure is that the specialist cannot remove too deep and large warts, since a scar remains after the procedure and when removing large defects, even larger defects in the form of ugly scars may remain.
Cryotherapy is a method of removing warts with liquefied nitrogen. This is the most bloodless method, however, it is impossible to estimate the depth of nitrogen damage, so if the first frost is insufficient, the procedure is repeated several times. Otherwise, excessive freezing leaves scars. The procedure is almost painless.
Surgical excision of warts is not used in modern medicine.
In medical centers equipped with modern devices, the surgitron device is used. With this device, you can not only quickly but also painlessly remove an unlimited number of warts.
