Skinny shins and thighs
Today, many people are complaining about being overweight, but there are also those who suffer from a lack of it. Often thin legs (as well as full ones) look unaesthetic. As a rule, this disadvantage is due to a lack of fat and muscle in the legs.
With the overall diminutiveness of the figure, thin legs can look harmonious, but if a person has a fairly massive top and a thin bottom, this can create a disproportion. It often happens that patients in their youth had beautiful and elastic legs, which eventually lost their shape. Excessive thinness can be the cause of an inferiority complex. Such people often wear wide trousers and long skirts, do not visit beaches and baths. Representatives of both sexes can have thin legs. They worsen the impression of both feminine forms and a strong athletic figure.
There are several factors that affect the shape of the legs:
the volume of adipose tissue;
the number of muscle fibers in the lower legs and thighs;
hereditary factor;
bone thickness.
In medicine, legs are considered ideal, in which the lower leg gradually passes into the thigh, while the part of the leg from the knee to the pelvis should be strong, not thin, there should be enough muscles on the shins. Ideally, if the legs are brought together, they should form three holes: between the calves, calves and knees, between the thighs.
Unfortunately, due to the individual characteristics of the body and genetic factors, not all legs can be changed with the help of physical exercises. And if the shape of the hips largely depends on age-related changes, then the shape of the shins, as a rule, is genetically determined. The reasons for the lack of volume in the shin area include atrophy and underdevelopment of muscles, which may occur due to some diseases suffered.
The most effective way to change the shape and volume of the hips and shins is up to 15 years. Therefore, it is very important that children play sports, run, jump rope.
Plastic correction of skinny shins
At the moment, it is possible to make thin shins more voluminous with the help of cru—plastic surgery – a procedure during which special endoprostheses are placed in the shins. This intervention is very popular among male bodybuilders. The first leg augmentation surgery was performed in 1979 by a French plastic surgeon. Today, this technique has been improved, so that the risk of complications has decreased, and the results have become better.
It is impossible to increase the lower legs or correct their shape by any other methods. Lipofilling and the introduction of any gels either do not give results, or provoke the occurrence of various side effects. For example, the use of polyacrylamide gels can lead to deformity of the legs, provoke the appearance of inflammatory processes, gel migration. These complications can be eliminated only by surgery, after which rough scars may remain.
During the operation, the surgeon places a silicone prosthesis in the shin (it has a strong shell, and there is a very viscous gel inside it). Thanks to this, the prosthesis can withstand the strongest loads.
Prostheses come in small and large volumes, have a smooth and textured surface. In some ways they resemble implants used for breast augmentation, but leg prostheses are much stronger.
Kruroplasty is performed under spinal or epidural anesthesia, less often under general anesthesia. The operation lasts from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours. The incision is made in the pit under the knees, in a natural crease. Thanks to this, 5-7 months after the procedure, the scar will be practically invisible. After the incision has been made, the doctor creates a cavity for installing the prosthesis under the shell of the inner head of the biceps muscle located on the back of the lower leg. The shell of the muscle consists of connective fibers, it, like a case, covers the muscle tissue. After that, the implant is placed in the pocket so that it does not press on the area of the recess behind the knee. Thanks to this placement, the prosthesis will be invisible, will not cause pain and discomfort. In addition, the implant is additionally closed with a fibrous membrane — a very strong connective tissue formation. Thus, the prosthesis is securely fixed. For this reason, implants with a smooth surface are more often used in kruroplasty.
You can start walking after surgery after 2 hours. The patient is discharged from the clinic for 2-3 days. For 7-10 days after the procedure, it is recommended to wear tight knee socks. 1-2 months after the operation, fibrous tissue forms near the prosthesis, which further fixes the prosthesis.
After crustoplasty, the lower legs acquire the necessary roundness, and the curvature becomes imperceptible.
Plastic hip correction
The increase in lean hips allows you to make the body more beautiful and elegant. Thanks to this operation, it is possible to make excessively thin hips fuller, correct the curvature of the legs and some other shortcomings, for example, the non-closing of the hips. This procedure is suitable for patients who have not been able to increase the volume of the hips with the help of physical exercises.
Femoroplasty is most often performed to increase the hips, less often — lipofilling. The second method is used less often, since it requires a sufficiently large amount of fat in the body. The choice of method also depends on the individual characteristics of the patient’s body.
Before the operation, a person undergoes a full medical examination. If a silicone implant is used to increase the hips, the patient passes additional tests, with the help of which it is possible to determine how well the prosthesis will take root.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia. During femoroplasty, the doctor places implants of the right size in the area between the muscles on the medial surfaces of the thigh. If lipofilling is performed to increase the hips, the surgeon first pumps out the fatty tissue from the patient’s problem area, then cleans it in a special centrifuge from blood and various impurities, and then introduces it into the desired hip area.
For the first 7-10 days after surgery, it is not recommended to make sudden movements. This is necessary in order to avoid the appearance of hematomas. During the month, the patient must wear compression underwear. You can perform physical exercises only after the doctor’s permission.
After the hip augmentation procedure, there are rarely complications. The most common complications are swelling and bruising. Although sometimes rejection of the prosthesis is possible. In this case, the doctor performs a repeat operation, during which the implant is removed, the doctor finds out the cause of rejection and installs a new prosthesis.
Requirements for plastic correction of thin shins and thighs
In situations where it is impossible to change the shape and volume of the legs and thighs surgically (for example, if the curvature of the legs is caused by bone deformation), orthopedic surgery is necessary, during which the surgeon will change the shape of the lower extremities.
For the first time after the procedure for the correction of the shins and thighs, it is impossible to wear shoes with heels, while it is advisable to use special tightening tights. It is necessary to avoid heavy physical work, so that there is no displacement of the prosthesis or its deformation.
The operation is not performed in patients with varicose veins and thrombosis with inflammation of the walls of the veins.
